The Improve Group OKC

We had an awesome time at our 1st Improve Group in the Oklahoma City area. We all shared ideas on ways to grow our businesses, and we each identified an area in our business that we're currently working on improving. It was huge help to me personally, and I walked away with lots of encouragement and new ideas.

We'll be meeting again this month on Monday, November 23rd at 6:00 pm CST at the Panera Bread on NWExpressway near Baptist hospital. We would LOVE for you to join us.

The idea is simple. We all need a little accountability and encouragement at times in our business, and we should always be working on improving something either in our personal lives or in our businesses. Come prepared to share 1 idea and 1 area of your life that you would like to commit to improving in the coming month.

The Main Course November 2015: Velata Specific Training Course

The Improve Group....Coming Soon

Many of you have heard about our Improve Group coming to the Oklahoma City area. We are excited to see many of you next Tuesday, October 27th at 10:00 am.

Have you heard about our Improve group? We're starting a local group {in the Oklahoma City area} that will meet monthly as a source of encouragement and idea sharing. 

The only requirements are:
1. You come with a business idea to share...something that's currently working in your business or something you've recently learned about that you want to try. ✔

2. You come prepared to share the area in your business or your personal life that you are focusing on improving in the next 30 days.  

This month we're meeting during the day and next month we'll meet in the evening to try to accommodate everyone. 


Our first meeting is next Tuesday, October 27th at 10:00 am at the Panera Bread near Mercy Hospital... 4401 W Memorial Rd

Improve Group....Starting in the Oklahoma City area

What area of your business are you currently working on improving?

It's a great question, and a great topic. One of the truest things about direct sales is that if you aren't intentional about your business, nothing will ever happen.

I hear people say all the time that they want to be better at booking parties or recruiting or meeting new people, but when I ask them what they're doing to make those things happen, they say "I'm trying." There is a big difference between trying and doing.

One of the ways we want to help you "do" more for your business is by helping you improve specific areas of your business.

Here are some tips for improving your business:


  1. Decide on a specific area of your business that you want to improve upon each month and write it down! 
  2. Pick 3 tasks that you believe will help you improve that area of your business. 
  3. Align your tasks to your calendar. Take the 3 tasks you decided on, and schedule the time to make them happen. 
  4. Find an accountability partner. This might be the most important step. Find someone you can check in with monthly to share the progress you're making and set new goals with. 
Another way we're hoping to help you improve your business is by hosting a monthly Improve Group. 

If you're local to the Oklahoma City area, we hope you'll join us. If you're not, we hope you'll start your own Improve Group in your area.

9. Now that you have your list of 100 (or you're well on your way!) -- let's talk about a re-launch party. When was the last time you had your own Scentsy party at your home??? Be honest. 

10. Challenge: pick a date and get your Re-Launch party in the books!! I'm going to give you several fun tips on hosting a SUCCESSFUL re-launch/grand opening/customer appreciation party! Once you have your date in the books, post below!


11. Tips for a fun, successful RE-LAUNCH party! 
*Invite everyone! It's a celebration...be excited! The more people to share in your excitement, the better.
*Hold it in your home. If that's not possible, as a close friend or family member to host it for you or find a local venue...church, library, community center.
*Be creative with your invitations. Use festive graphics, colored paper, etc.
*Don't be so creative that you forget the important details such as when, where, and what time to arrive and a RSVP so you know how many to plan for.
*Promise food, lots of fun and freebies (samples) to increase acceptance and hold true! Especially the FUN part 
*Ask a friend to help you with refreshments so that you can focus of being a wonderful hostess.

12. Theme parties are my FAVORITE!!!!! and guests love them as well. Here are a few ideas...
*An appreciation party for customers and hosts to build loyalty and generate more business
*A mystery hostess party -- every guests can earn chances to be entered into the drawing to earn the hostess benefits (arrive on time, RSVP, bring an uninvited adult guest, bring an outside order, for each $10 in sales, booking a party, etc)
*A party crasher party is fun-- guests are encouraged to bring a friend to CRASH THE PARTY
*Pool party, sunset party, beach party, backyard BBQ, ballpark party
*St. Patrick's Day (I just did this -- had 16 guests and a fabulous party!! It turned out awesome-- I encouraged guests to wear green, bring a friend, bring an outside order -- and I did a Mystery Hostess and one of the guests earned all the free and half price hostess benefits. FUN, FUN!!), Mother's Day, 4th of July, Halloween, Spring Fling, Summer Fun, Open House

Shine Your Light 2015 Consultant Guide

Over the past several years as I've coached frontline through running their businesses and their lives, I've always wished I had a tool to lay it all out and help them see the big picture.

This consultant guide is a form of something I've used for years to help me manage my business while also managing my busy life of being a mom, wife, taxi driver, runner, advocate...you get it, the list goes on.

I thought it would be a helpful tool for those of you who just need it all in one place.

The Shine Your Light Consultant Guide is basically a step by step guide to help you determine why you run your business in the first place and what goals you have for 2015 both in your personal and business life.
Most pages you'll only need 1 copy of, but the Frontline Focus page is a page I would print multiple copies of to have one for each of your frontline team members. It's a way to help coach them through their business and their monthly goals.

At the end of the consultant guide, you'll see a place to begin writing down all the profit generating tasks you need to do on a monthly basis.


Once you've identified those tasks, you'll want to print the Monthly Systems Checklist to list out those tasks and give yourself a place to keep record of what you've completed and what still needs to be accomplished.

Shine Your Light Consultant Guide 2015

The goal calendar is place for you to record your monthly PRV goals, Recruiting goals, and your # of parties goal for each month. It's also a great place to list out the names of potential hosts, potential recruits, customers you need to follow-up with and so on. You can also track your TWV as your team begins to grow in the box for each day.
